Courses

Rooflight Production courses are a stimulating blend of theory and hands-on practical work, with an interactive approach.  If you would like to learn about any aspect of music production and have a fun day producing music alongside other musicians, then please get in touch. Courses and tuition can be arranged on request, on either a one-to-one or group basis.  Areas covered could include:

  • An introduction to digital audio and computer based recording
  • Microphones and their use
  • Use of compressors, EQ and reverb to enhance your mix
  • Multi-take vocal recordings and compiling takes
  • Audio editing and optimisation
  • Mastering techniques to add polish and shine to your mix

    Hello,
    Could you please send me some more information on your music production course.
    I am also very interested in applying for any work experience programmes you may have available this summer with Rooflight Production.
    I have a great deal of musical experience and I am hoping to study a Music Production and Technology course in university and to pursue a career in the music industry.
    Recently I had a short term work placement in Mid West Radio in Co. Mayo,
    Ireland – A local community radio where I learnt a great deal about recording studios.
    I believe, if I was to be given the opportunity to work at Rooflight Production that I would be a great asset during my time there and it would provide me with invaluable experience for the future.
    I am available for a 3 month period during the summer months, anytime from the 25th of May until the 31st of August, excluding the week ending 7th August.
