Recording

The flexibility of modern digital recording systems allows a number of options when it comes to recording your music.  Rooflight Studio is a compact computer-based setup that is used for smaller production projects, mixing and mastering.  Furthermore, it is completely portable, so if you desire, the studio can come to you.  The basic spec includes:

For larger recording projects, band recordings and recording loud instruments such as drums and electric guitars, it is possible to hire J&J Studio. This professional, fully sound proofed and acoustically treated studio is based around the following:

DDA AMR24 analogue mixer
MOTU 24 IO
Mac Pro running Logic Pro 9
ATC SM100 monitors

It features a great acoustic and lots of natural daylight, helping you to stay focussed during long recording sessions.

Following a session at J&J, all recordings can be transferred to Rooflight Studio via a portable hard drive for editing, mixing and mastering.

    Thanks for your reply on Bristol band fb site. Not sure if u got my msg there, so trying again this way.

    I am trying to run Protools Essential on Windows 7 and having problems. I suspect it could be user error as well as am a total novice, but need to learn, so would really appreciate some help getting started. Could you let me know if you can do this, and what would it cost? I am in Kington Langley near Chippenham.
